An Australian mockumentary that takes aim at a fairly easy target - kids' dance contests - and manages to roll up into a single package what, between Strictly Ballroom and Drop Dead Gorgeous, are fast becoming cliches: pushy parents, bizarre clothing, permatans-and-wigs, hard-as-tin Aussie accents. Like many mock-docs, it struggles to establish the patina of reality, but it makes up for it with some very funny jokes - mostly via British transplant Ben Miller, playing a dance-troupe instructor with a peccadillo for politically incendiary routines possessing titles like the Kyoto Protocol Shuffle.
